The Nick Tannura Trio is a Miami based Jazz trio featuring Nick Tannura (guitar), Dion Kerr (upright bass), and Aaron Glueckauf (drums.)  The group's concept is deeply influenced by the classic guitar trios of Kenny Burrell and Barney Kessel and is focused mainly on the performance of classic compositions from the Great American Songbook.

This specially commissioned feature length documentary for Channel 4 Television had its US Premiere in WDNA's 6th MIAMI JAZZ FILM FESTIVAL on September 10, 2001 in a sold-out screening.  It explores the music and the man behind the public image, from Miles’ middle class upbringing in racially segregated East St Louis to the last years when he traveled the world like a rock star. This long awaited portrayal, made for international TV and video distribution throughout the world, includes unique archive footage and brilliant performances, involving every major development of jazz since the 1940’s. It interweaves rare interviews with Miles himself with the insights and memories of many of the great musicians who played with him at various stages in his long career. Ex-lovers and members of his family talk for the first time in public about the complex man and groundbreaking musician whose life was fractured by racism, illness, drug addiction and brushes with the law.  Miles Davis would
