Latin Jazz Quarter [Wednesday 12pm-3pm]

Cary Alexander has become a well known spokesperson for Latin jazz in South Florida and can be seen in the community on a regular basis as Master of Ceremonies for many events and concerts. Her cheerful personality and her knowledge of music and history make her a perfect ambassador of the genre.

Cary is originally from Havana, Cuba, but moved to Miami as a young girl and grew up during a historic time in our vibrant city. While she enjoys remaining close to her Cuban roots, she embraces American culture, and especially loves the huge variety of world culture that Miami has to offer.

She attended Miami Lakes Technical Education Center in 1999 and 2000, studying radio broadcasting under John Lovell, and won several A.I.R. awards (Achievement in Radio), including “Best Public Service Announcement”, and “Best Student Talent”.
