Anthony Harris

Host of:
Jazz Before Midnight [Sunday 12am-1am,Saturday 10pm-0am]

Anthony has been following music in many of the venues in South Florida for more than twenty yearsElvin Jones in West Palm Beach, Wayne Shorter on Lincoln Road, Sonny Rollins and Nina Simone at the old Gusman , Arthur Barron and Hilton Ruiz at the Rose, and on and on. As a co-producer with Leo Casino, they produced  Latin Meets Jazz at The Stephen Talkhouse on Miami Beach which featured  Cachao, Dave Valentine, Potato Valdez, Ray Baretto, Johnny Pacheco, Johnny Conga and a host of Miami based Latin jazz artists. Events like these made an indelible mark on his appreciation, love and passion for the improvisational musical art form that has become known as JAZZ!

WDNA and the Fine Arts Series in March, 2017, introduced Anthony as a visual artist with his solo photography exhibit entitled “The Live Musician…a photographic essay”.  This was an exhibit that featured eleven large photographs of  improvisational  performances by Ron Carter, Lisa Fischer, Gilberto Gil, Dayme Arocena, and Hubert Laws with other outstanding  musicians. The images allow the viewer the rare opportunity to enter the creative performance of the artist.  This exhibit further defined his passion for music.

Now, his passion has been extended to his LIVE program on Saturday nights called “Jazz Before Midnight”-a two hour mixture of classical jazz, new music releases, blues with some commentary of current films, culture and local art fare.  Anthony will bring some toe-tapping, body moving zip to your Saturday nights!
